Slow motion video of a hand plunged into liquid nitrogen is displayed. The hand is protected by a property known as the Leidenfrost Effect. Several experiments illustrating the Leidenfrost Effect are explored. For example, a glowing hot steel ball is placed in water, but the water does not immediately boil. Also, slow motion video of water on a hot surface is shown to display the Leidenfrost Effect.
