The inspiration behind this video:

Fabien Frankel teases Ser Criston Cole’s future on House of the Dragon following episode 5’s shocking twist. Based on A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin’s 2018 book Fire & Blood, which tells the history of House Targaryen, House of the Dragon begins roughly 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones during a time of relative peace when the seeds to a war of succession are first sown. Other than Frankel as Ser Criston Cole, House of the Dragon also stars Paddy Considine as King Viserys Targaryen, Matt Smith as Prince Daemon, Milly Alcock as Princess Rhaenyra, and Emily Carey as Queen Alicent Hightower.

Early on, Rhaenyra admires the dashing Dornish Knight, Ser Criston, as he defeats her uncle Daemon during a tourney and later handpicks him to be a member of the Kingsguard and her own personal protector, marking the beginning of the romantic tensions between the two. The Princess soon seduces Ser Criston and causes him to break his vow of celibacy. At the end of episode 5, after Rhaenyra denies his offer to abscond to Essos, Criston brutally murders Laenor Velaryon’s paramour, Joffrey Lonmouth, the Knight of Kisses, who surmised his secret relationship with the Princess. Afterward, Criston plans to end his own life in disgrace before Queen Alicent intervenes, and now the star is opening up about where he could go next having survived this attempt.

House of the Dragon’s first season will have ten episodes, each of which will run for roughly one hour. Season 1’s tentative schedule is as follows:
