Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Alicia Keys and her music producer husband Kasseem Dean, a.k.a. Swizz Beatz, have just spent $20.8 million to get the keys to the spectacular Southern California architectural masterpiece called the Razor House.

Teetering on cliffs overlooking the crashing Pacific in La Jolla, just north of San Diego, this sleek 10,653-square-foot, concrete-and-glass mansion is said to be the inspiration behind Tony Stark’s Razor Point, Malibu lair in the Iron Man film franchise. The married pair snagged the home in 2019 for a little over $20million after Swizz ‘manifested’ they’d one day own the home

The 11,000 square-foot cliffside mansion is often considered the inspiration for Tony Stark’s futuristic residence in Marvel’s Iron Man films. It was crafted by architectural designer Wallace E. Cunningham and famously dubbed Razor House. Alicia and Swizz hired interior designer Kelly Behun to ‘marry’ the mansion’s ‘cold’ industrial build with ‘warm’ elements. Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz gave fans a personal tour of their nearly 11,000 square-foot cliffside mansion, which they snapped up for over $20million in 2019 after eight years of ‘manifesting’ the purchase.
The La Jolla, California property – famously dubbed the Razor House – was born from the mind of architectural designer Wallace E. Cunningham and is said to have inspired Tony Stark’s futuristic residence in Marvel’s Iron Man. Speaking to Architectural Digest, Alicia and her husband of 11-years have since renamed the home ‘Dreamland’ and, with the help of interior designer Kelly Behun, have made it a ‘warm’ place to raise their family.

The house was originally on the market for $45 million, then at $30 million, reduced to $24.995 million, with Alicia Keys paying $20.8 (£15.6) million for the abode. Alicia Keys has just snapped up the ultra modern, futuristic Razor House. Designed by Wallace E. Cunningham, the house is an architectural masterpiece, featuring a mix of brutalist architecture and floor-to-ceiling glass facades that frame ocean views. Grammy award-winning singer Alicia Keys has paid $20.8 million for ‘Razor House,’ a strikingly modern landmark in the wealthy Southern California town of La Jolla.
This sleek and spacious 10,653-square-foot mansion is said to be the inspiration behind Tony Stark’s Malibu lair in the Iron Man film franchise, in addition to a starring role in Visa Black Card and Calvin Klein television commercials.

The master-suite baths include showers and freestanding tubs as well as closets. The detached multi-level guest house has 1,301 square feet and includes two bedrooms and two baths, each having separate entry points on different levels. Then there’s the two-story, all-glass sitting room connected by a curved floating staircase, along with a library, movie theater, fully-equipped gym, two steam rooms, roof-top spa and a built-in outdoor BBQ.
